Dr. Gagnon is a Southern Maine native, having grown up in Biddeford. He received his B.S. in Biology from Stonehill College in Easton, MA, and his doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. Prior to joining Freeport Veterinary Hospital in 2019, Dr. Gagnon worked in small animal clinical practice in Kittery for five years, followed by full-time per diem work at over two dozen general practice and emergency hospitals throughout Southern Maine and New Hampshire for another five years. His clinical interests include dentistry, surgery, and pain management. Dr. Gagnon and his wife are fortunate enough to have just purchased their first home, which they share their son, Xavier, and two pit bulls, Frankenstein and Chloe, in Portland. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, hiking, camping, and exploring Portland’s dining scene.
