One of the best things you can do for your pet is to keep them healthy. And one of the easiest and least expensive ways to do that is by bringing in your pet for regular exams and vaccinations.
At Freeport Veterinary Hospital, we place a heavy emphasis on preventive care. Our team’s goal is to keep your pet healthy and happy through regular visits and the appropriate care for each pet’s life stage – from puppy and kitten hood through their senior years. “Wellness” or “Preventive Care” encompasses an array of services including regular check- ups, vaccinations appropriate to an individual pet’s lifestyle, age and risk, screening tests for intestinal parasites, tick diseases, infectious diseases (FIV and FeLV in outdoor cats) and blood and urine tests to look for any underlying conditions that may not be obvious on a physical exam.
By doing regular care, we are trying to prevent illness or find it early when it is much easier and often more affordable to manage. In fact, we think that Wellness care is so important that we are the only hospital in this immediate area that offers Wellness Plans. These plans allow you to budget out your dog or cat’s routine preventive care over a full year, yet receive these services on your schedule. Dr. Radding, Dr. Cote and our entire team are always happy to work with you to determine the best preventive care plan for your pet.
